Keep forgetting to blog at all. I've been incredibly inactive on here in the past few weeks. There has been a lot of stuff happening recently seeing as I've been starting college and the workload stemming from that has piled quite quickly. Also still working so that cuts out time for me to write.
Well I'll try to do more! Starting here, this month I've got another article planned already which is of a good band I kind of know.
Today, a smattering of older songs, all from a few years back now, still pretty brilliant.
Death From Above 1979 - Go Home Get Down
We Are Scientists - Worth The Wait
Archie Bronson Outfit - Cherry Lips
I just realised I haven't ever really gone into detail about how much I love Archie Bronson Outfit, the album 'Derdang Derdang' is amazing. Just purely fantastical.
N*E*R*D - She Wants To Move
This song is a case of hearing it but not knowing the artist, till the other day when I saw the video for the first time. It's a great song that you need to hear if you haven't
Till next time
Well, My Drive Thru now has a spangly and incredibly commercial video. The track is brilliant, the fact that Converse funded it doesn't detract from the music but it does in this video, there are a few shots that really are just ads. It's still an amazing song to dance to. I do love it and the video is good, just IMO disappointing.
MP3
I do indeed feel a bit dancey at this moment, I'm going to pick out a few tunes I think are in some way danceable that suit my mood.
Arctic Monkeys - Dancing Shoes
UNKLE - Panic Attack
Tenacious D - Car Chase City (The "let's rock, let's roll" chorus is genius)
System of a Down - Chop Suey (Who could resist dancing to this?)
Maximo Park - The Unshockable
And to end it off, this new and already really popular on the blogosphere track
N.E.R.D. - My Drive Thru ft Julian Casablancas and Santogold
It's brilliant! An incredible dance/summer anthem. Converse funded it and if they are releasing it, it is sure to do very well! I listened to it this morning and it's been on repeat since!
I think you'll agree this mix is reasonably unique.
