I need to blog more, 6 so far this month is just poor.

If you're familiar with this blog you may have read me going on about Feral Mare a fair bit, well their drummer and a friend of mine, Tom Clements has recently joined this other band who I'm liking very much. The name is run, WALK! and people who listen to XFM may be familiar with them as they were recently part of that uploaded thing right? well they could've won the chance to support the subways and unfairly lost out.

But anyway, they're really good, saw them the other day in the railway inn in winch, £5 entry you can't go wrong. The songs sound much better live aswell, it may be because the recorded tracks don't have tom on them, he's been described as changing the band "from the white stripes to death from above on crack" a observation fairly made.

In other news, I love itunes, it may because i'm using a mac now but i was once adversely against apple's music player. It does have downsides but majoratively its awesome, the genius feature is bona fide ingenuity. Well my last played on itunes are:

Love this foals old single i think, it missed out on the album release proper, made it to a bonus disc though so it's not that bad.

Devo - Whip It
Ah this track is great, can't beat the original. There's something about it that I like, even though the lyrics are quite bizaare

The Strokes - The End has No End
Listening to alot of the Strokes and this is another one I like.

Girl Talk - Bounce That
Possibly my favourite Girl Talk song. It's just an amazingly perfect, daceable tune that has been constructed (or should I say recycled?) effectively. I just love this song and if I ever hear it on a dancefloor, I would dance my heart out.

The Cribs - I've tried Everything
Just for when you're at wits end and I think this is a depressing song, due to it's lyrics. Lamenting no relationship? I'm not entirely sure but saying something's missing insuates to me a lack of girl. It's something I can relate to

Gnarls Barkley - Reckoner (Live Radiohead Cover)
I'm hoping for C-Lo and Dangermouse to do a studio recording of this. This audio is half-decent and you can hear the amazing C-Lo vocals, but I think if they record it they can give it more of a Gnarls Barkley twist.

I'm not ususually a fan of remixes, I normally prefer the raw track, I like to listen to it how the artist intended. BUT there are some out there that don't actually ruin the original tracks. Plus dancey/electro music has been creeping slowly much more into my listening habits. Thats pretty much because of Girl Talk. Though does his stuff count as a remix or a recycle? Like this ace track off of his old album 'Secret Diary'

Girl Talk - I Want You Back

Well here's one that I recently found which is just amazing! Purely an amazing remix which makes this Goldfrapp track at least 10 times better and I thought it was good to begin with.

Goldfrapp - Happiness (Metronomy Remix feat the Teenagers)

And as it's by Metronomy it's just fortified my new found love of this electric band.

Love this track which just plunges in with an opener reminscent of the Zelda 16-bit era games and then make me think of loads of games from that point in time. Plus the topping of the modern electro lyrics brings an amazing fusion to the fore.

Every track on the album surprises me with both the extent of variety with the samples he uses and also the broad types of music covered, it branches out from indie to hip hop and nearly anything else you could think of in between

There are some really good tracks that are used, as said before it comes across a bit nostalgic, because by recognising the tracks it just reminds me how good they are. Here's a few tracks I can remember off the top of my head that stood out in the mash;

I had never heard of Girl Talk till he just recently released new album 'Feed the Animals', 'In Rainbows' style, with a pay as much as you want system that has already built up both a hype for the album and probably also praise of it.

Well I was very surprised once I downloaded the album, it is so sample heavy that it means you end up playing the guessing game, but this makes it feel nostalgic, and thus all these different artists being put together makes for something sounding very original. I like it alot already.

As it is ideally played along as one ever changing track, it's not best to listen to one segment but, I heard this part of the album first on hype machine and it lead me to download the album.
